CooperSurgical is a global leader in the development, production, and marketing of medical devices. Dancamera Studio created sales and training materials for Insorb® Skin Stapler, a subcuticular wound closure device that has numerous benefits as an alternative to traditional hand stitching.

The Insorb® Skin Stapler is a groundbreaking device that places dissolvable staples beneath the skin. This disposable device is safe to use, results in less hand fatigue and minimizes scarring. Because Cooper is marketing the device for use in both the veterinarian and plastic surgery sectors, we produced specific videos targeted to each.

CANINE SURGERY

We worked with veterinarian Dr. Jeff Sachar to showcase the myriad benefits that the Insorb Skin Stapler brought to his canine surgical procedure. By filming the surgery from various angles during multiple takes, we could highlight the benefits this product offered to specific veterinary surgeries. We interviewed Dr. Sachar several days after the surgical shoot, then wove his illustrating remarks into the surgical video to increase viewer engagement.

PLASTIC SURGERY

The Insorb Skin Stapler is also used in plastic surgeries. We were able to capture Dr. Douglas Taranow, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon, in his use of the less-invasive Insorb product during a surgical procedure. Dr. Taranow provides a cogent explanation of the clinical benefits of using this device on his patients, resulting in an informative, and engaging video.

“As someone with zero on-camera experience, Dan was able to effectively coach me through the process, all the while making me feel very at ease & relaxed the entire time. His attention to even the smallest details was evident in the finished product which far exceeded my expectations. Dan is A true professional.”

360˚ PRODUCT VIDEO

When undertaking the product shoot for the Insorb Skin Stapler, our goal was to capture as many different angles as possible for both training and marketing purposes. We were also tasked with capturing a 360-degree version of the Insorb stapler. Because no 3D-model was available, we shot over 70 photos to create the video you see.

PRODUCT SAMPLES

For Cooper Surgical, our photo shoot included not only standard product shots but also hand-held images. We deliberately included gender specific hand-held photos in order to allow visualization of the grip of both smaller and larger hands.

CREATIVE BLOCKS

In order to showcase the many benefits of using the Insorb Skin Stapler, we decided to create a variety of infographics that detail the product’s benefits while offering a visual representation of our descriptions.
