Welcome to The Grove

I’ve had the privilege of volunteering at The Grove – 14 acres of abandoned farmland in the Connecticut River Valley now being transformed into a holistic wellness retreat and sustainable nature preserve.

During the summer and fall, we embarked on the construction of a massive yurt. My participation allowed me to spend time in a stunning natural setting while contributing to a cause I believe in – offering meaningful support to good people doing great things.

Building Foundations

I'm excited to share this video with you, a culmination of photos and time-lapse footage capturing the essence of our community's collaborative efforts. While much of the footage is mine, it truly represents the collective spirit of everyone involved. That's why I chose to present it in portrait format – to honor the diverse contributions that brought our vision to life.

“Dan has been an instrumental pillar of support to us throughout our yurt build project - both diving in to help with the construction and voluntarily documenting the process. The footage he captured is invaluable to us, not only for sentimental purposes, but also to share our vision and extend our community. Dan is driven, and extremely dependable - his creativity is an invaluable asset. He is a joy to collaborate with and we look forward to future projects together.”

Learning Naturally

The Grove is undergoing a remarkable transformation into a holistic wellness retreat and sustainable nature preserve. It is also home to The Grove Forest School, a forest-based educational program that offers younger children the time and space to learn in a natural environment, with a curriculum designed to nurture their natural curiosity and their passion for learning.

In addition to the video, I've put together a photo gallery showcasing snapshots from one of our bustling community building days. These images were captured in between our construction endeavors, offering a glimpse into the vibrant spirit of The Grove.
